Can MedSec brand gloves come in contact with food?

On July 2, 2014, the Government of Canada repealed the pre-registration requirement for construction materials, packaging materials and non-food chemicals used in food processing. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) no longer issues letters of acceptance for gloves, aprons, sleeves, gowns and other personal protective equipment in direct contact with food. It is then the responsibility of the users to verify the accuracy of the information with the manufacturers.

MedSec, as a manufacturer (private label), can send you a signed letter of guarantee (LOG) which states that branded products MedSec are safe, fit for use, and meet CFIA specifications for food processing.

All of our gloves are also medical devices approved by Health Canada. They are powder free, latex free and come in blue nitrile or clear vinyl.

Rest assured that we are an ideal partner to assist you in reducing the risk of contamination with food.
