What is DEHP / DOP? Why is it dangerous?

TheBis (XNUMX-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) and dioctyl phthalate (DOP) are used primarily as a plasticizers for polymers (like PVC) and are sometimes found in the composition of vinyl gloves.

Phthalates are chemicals used in: printing inks, paints and lacquers, adhesives, electrical fluids and pesticides.

Their use is banned in plastic toys for children because it is harmful to health. It is a probable endocrine disruptor and carcingogen. Exposure to phthalates can cause damage to the liver, kidneys and reproductive system.

With your safety in mind, we insisted that all MedSec brand gloves do not contain DEHP / DOP.

We are proud to be able to offer quality gloves to daycares and CPEs in the region.
